Nivea Shaving Tutorial

This morning while I was checking out Ohlala, I saw these pictures from Nivea's Active 3 ad.

Jislain Duval looks really hot in the shower. Its like every gay guy's fantasy of taking a shower with another hot guy like he one in the picture above. The great thing about this new product is that it is a shower gel, shampoo and shaving cream all rolled into one product. Brilliant right?
Actually, there is more the ad. I went to the Nivea site and saw that they have a full shaving tutorial. Haha! Nice and yummy but totally informative. Too bad they did not show anything in the lower region. I'm totally convinced by this ad. I'm buying one this weekend. This is just perfect for my upcming beach trip to Boravay. Yahoo!

Night at the Museum 2

I ried my best to stay at home last Sunday since I was out the entire Saturday. But since the weather has been insanely hot lately, I couldn't do anything but hit the mall. As usual, I was off to Trinoma to go window shopping. Actually, I tried on a few options for the wedding next Saturday. But my goal was really to watch Night at the Museum 2. Since nobody was there to accompany me, I watched it all alone.

I was in between two sets of lovers. The one on my left were really quiet and an older couple. The other irritating pair on my right kept on talking. I so wanted to tell them off but decided otherwise.

The movie was set two years after Larry Daly left the museum and became a successful CEO of his own business. One day, he decided to visit the Museum of Natural History only to find out that the exhibits have been packed and ready to be shipped to the Smithsonian archives. He receives an urgent call from Jedidiah so he decides to go to the Smithsonian. Together with old pals and new friends like Amelia Earheart, they must stop the villians Kamunrah, Ivan the Terrible and Napoleon Bonaparte from unleashing the army from the Underworld.

It was a funny movie. That was the first thing that came to mind since there were a lot of funny lines and scenes. The singing cherubs were a hit. I also loved the Thinking Man who was hitting on some marble maiden. I initially thought that the giant octopus was a foe but all he wanted was water. Haha! The costumes of the different characters were really great. Though, what I didn't like was that there was no closure on what happened at the Smithsonian. They sure left a lot of damage in it. Oh well, I still thought it was a relevant part.

If there was a lesson in the story, that would be doing what your heart truly desired. Larry gave up his company and went back to being a night guard at the museum. Most of us would say that this move is truly insane. But if you think of it, would you rather live comfortably but you're miserable with your work or would you live a simple life and you feel fulfilled?

As a whole, it was a great movie. It was worth the watch. It has funny scenes great for kids and it also has a lot of witty remarks that will surely entertain adults as well.

Top 3 Baby!

Ok, so i already blogged about my teammates bagging the 3rd place in Japan. just wanna share the video.

Cam Gigandet vs. Twilight Fans

I was surfing Perezhilton and saw this crazy video of Cam Gigandet from Funnyordie. He played James in the hit vampire movie Twilight. Yep, the hot tracker of a vampire who was after Bella, fought with my hubby Edward and was later shred into pieces and burned by the Cullens. Too bad, he's dead. He sure is a hottie. I would not mind if he's going to bite me. Darn, i envy Victoria.

Here, he is up against an army of fan girls/Twilighters. Haha! I think its an ad for the upcoming MTV video music awards Best Fight category. Check it out.

Congrats UP Pep Squad

I forgot to write an entry about the recent victory of my teammates at the 3rd Cheerleading Asia International Open held in Tokyo, Japan. They bagged the 3rd spot next to Taiwan and Thailand. They garnered a total of 169 points in the elimination round. I grabbed some of the pics here.

The next photo shows the mixed group with three X-out to full twist tosses.

Here's the stunting group.

Thanks a bunch to Christian Altas of U.P. College of Fine Arts and Tokyo University of the Arts for these photos.

Yahoo! Laban Pilipinas! See you guys later!

Waiting...

In exactly two weeks from today, I'll be off to sunny (hopefully!) Boracay. This will be my first and only beach trip this summer. Well, not exactly since summer officially ends on May 31st. At least I still get to go to Bora just like every year since 2004. Oh, I missed the 2007 trip.

I just want to rest. As in relax and enjoy the beach. Oh well, I still have to face the crazy pep games. I am hoping that this Bora trip will be a blast. Just like every Bora trip I had with pep.

Can't wait. Fast Forward....

Yeah. I'm A Fangirl

While getting a dose of my usual daily Hollywood gossip from Perezhilton.com, I saw that there were a lot of celebs attending the Cannes Film Festival in France. Most of them were seen basking in the sun, enjoying the nice weather. I so want to hit the beach soon. Can't wait for the Boracay trip this June.

More browsing and I stumbled upon the "leaked" poster of the upcoming sequel to Twilight entitled New Moon which will be out on November 20, 2009. Weee! I can't wait to watch it. I'm a fan of the saga and even read all the four books twice. Addict much? Yeah, I am. Check out the poster below.

Anyway, I have always adored Robert Pattinson. Yep, he plays Edward Cullen the vampire. I literally go gaga over him. When I saw his photo call in Cannes for New Moon, I can't help but grab some pics.
WHOA! Check out his hotness factor! I would not mind spending eternity with him. Damn Kristen Stewart.
Enough. I'm going to die of extreme joy and love for him.

Rob, I could fix your hair if you want.
Ok, I'm totally loving him. Can't wait for him in the upcoming Twilight Saga movies. Breaking Dawn is a go! Yippee! More RPatz! I want to check out his indie flick Little Ashes. I saw some of the gay action. Interesting. Yum! Rob, if you'll get the chance to read this, I'm a fan. Eww. What the heck.

Crazy for Accessories

I have always been into anything about fashion. I think i'm somehow done with clothes so i'm now into accessories. The long lit includes bags, watches, jewelry and scarves. Well, I went through the watches phase and yep, they are expensive. Bags will also surely make a hole in your pocket.

Lately I set my eyes on necklaces. Haha! The just make yoyur outfit more interesting. My three latest buys are all from Folded and Hung. Too bad I do not have pictures to show them. Oh well, maybe next time.

Movie: Angels and Demons

I have been making the Ayalas richer by watching movies for three consecutive weekends. First was Wolverine, second was Star Trek and the third and latest is Angels and Demons. I did not expect much from the film since I am pretty sure that there would not be too much special effects to rival that of the other two flicks. What I was after was the adaptation of it from the best-selling novel with the same title.

Last Saturday after my dentist appointment and checking a condo, i went to Trinoma (as usual!) to watch the film. When i got there, i saw the insane crowd of people and the long lines so I decided to watch it the next day.

Overall, it was a so-so movie. It was almost similar to the book. Well, i read the book again just in time for the movie. There were some deviations from the novel. First, they did not establish that Victoria Vetra was the Leonardo's daughter. Second, Cardinal Baggia died in the novel, in the film he became Pope. Third, they did not reveal that the Camarlengo was the dead pope's son through an artificial insemination. Lastly, Cardinal Strauss was not elected Pope.

I liked the explosion of the antimatter scene. It satisfied my imagination from the book. Also, the assassin, played by Nikolaj Lie Kaas, looked really hot. Haha! I'm definitely loving him now. While watching it, it reminded me of The Amazing Race. Oh well, I think That was how it was supposed to be being all set to happen within a day.

At last, I already watched the three biggest films. I might check out Night at the Museum 2. It looks interesting.

Just a Thought

Since our office banned all social networking sites like Facebook including instant messaging like YM, I have resulted to blog surfing and reading just about anything that seemed interesting. Truly the Internet is a maze of countless information all waiting to be discovered.

I have heard of MGG from my friends but i never really got the chance to browse it. The moment I started visiting the site, I've read a lot of interesting stories. Some tickled my imagination while others broke my hurt and almost sent me to tears. I was touched with the letter of Stella who shared her son's story. I applaud her for her open-mindedness and her unconditional love and support for her son. If only all mothers are like you, then young guys would not have any problem coming out or being accepted in society. Truly, the UP education (yep, me too!) opened my eyes to the bittersweet realities of life.

I will forever be grateful to UP for helping me realize who I truly am.

Good Luck UP Pep Squad!

Yesterday I went with my teammates to the Rizal gymnastics hall in Manila to watch their routine for the Asia Cheerleading International Open 2009 in Japan. As expected, it was a Kick-ass routine. The degree of difficulty was high as compared to what they showed in the 2008 UAAP cheerdance competition. I'm hoping that they pull everything off and know they will.

The routine had a lot of partner stunts. There were heel stretches, arabesques and cupies. The pyramid also looked amazing. The tumbling passes had backhangsprings, backtucks and double twisting layouts. For tosses, there were backtucks, layouts, X-out to full twisting layouts.

Let's all pray for the UP Pep Squad. I know they will make our country proud as they always do. Good Luck guys! We love you!

Star Trek

Last weekend, I tagged around with my friend Kris to Laguna for a Bridal makeup thing. Surprisingly, the place was so far and it took us almost 3 hours to get there, plus another 3 going back. When we got back in Manila, we decided to watch the latest Star Trek flick.

I was never a Trekkie but I enjoy watching sci-fi movies involving space, starships, aliens and the like. I wanted to watch Star Trek in IMAX since I never tried IMAX before and I think it will be really nice to watch it there. I think IMAX costs around Php 350 as compared to a normal THX or Dolby cinema at max Php 190. Its expensive and i didn't have cash to spare. haha! Since my EQ was low, i watched it in a normal cinema.

After watching the film, I realized that the entire movie kept me on the edge of my ship. It was awesome! There were no dull and boring moments. The effects were amazing and it made me feel like I was on the USS Enterprise. Haha! Just exaggerating of course. But seriously, its a must-watch film. The story was also good. You would think that its long because there were a lot of things that happened but they all made sense to the movie.

If the effects and story does not interest you, well maybe the hotties will. Chris Pine, Chris Hemsworth, Karl Urban and Zachary Quinto mall looked HOT! Eric Bana played Nero, the villain but despite all the makeup, he still sizzles. Whew! Chris Pine still looked hot even if his face was all bloody from a fight. also, watch out for that scene wherein he was in his undies. HOT! HOT! HOT! Too bad Chris Hemsworth who played George Kirk died early in the movie. Karl Urban played the hottie doctor Bones McCoy.

As a whole, Star Trek was an amazing movie. If the story and effects will not get to you, surely the hotties will make you drool.

Independent Daw

Ung may sense at matino kausap, mapagkakatiwalaan at presentable.

Change

I never considered myself a writer. I used to blog just about anything. Well, mostly about my roller coaster non-existent love life. When I moved to my current job as a content writer, I was inspired to start my own.

I surf the web for countless sites and blogs. Everything came into place when I realized that I always frequent fashion-related blogs. I was inspired by a couple of blogs or fashion savvy individuals all over the world. They mostly feature high-end designer brands all drool-worthy in more ways than one.

Since I am based in sunny Philippines, I wanted to write about the latest things happening in the metro, the latest trends from local boutiques, the hottest places to hang out and just about everything under the Philippine sun or rain. Haha! I gotta build this blog. Ciao.
